New job! Risa IT

Yes! Today, I started as commercial director at Risa IT. Let’s shake up the IT industry!

First day Risa IT

Why the IT industry?

The window of opportunity for business leaders to take action and modernize their technology is closing as the world moves faster than ever. While uncertainty is unavoidable, business leaders have an opportunity to update and empower their existing teams with the right tools and strategies to succeed no matter how turbulent the business environment becomes.

Predicting the future is always risky. We’ve been reminded of this repeatedly, especially over the past two years, as business leaders have been forced to adapt to the unexpected continuously. And we are still facing historic levels of uncertainty but with the foresight to plan with the learnings from the past year. It’s never been more crucial for business leaders to consider their challenges and how to finally tackle them rather than reverting to the status quo.

With software multiplying at a mind-boggling rate and the developer shortage worsening by the week, business leaders must take this time to think differently and future-proof their approach to digital innovation. 2023 brings a unique set of challenges to companies. Addressing these seven key tech challenges will distinguish the companies that survive – and thrive – from those that fall by the wayside.

  1. Businesses will need tailored apps as post-pandemic reality takes hold.
  2. Remote work will change how enterprises build apps.
  3. Legacy tech and increasing demands will lead to constraints on developers.
  4. Organizations holding sensitive digital data invest in cybersecurity solutions addressing the Quantum computing threat.
  5. Companies have to keep up with technical innovations such as cloud, edge computing, machine learning, metaverse, web3, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, and more to maintain their competitive edge.
  6. IT executives cited a lack of talent as the most significant barrier to adopting emerging technologies, ahead of implementation, cost, and security risks.
  7. Consumers, business customers, and investors will increasingly demand sustainable technology and transparency. Companies need to use clean and sustainable technology at all levels.

All of these challenges for the new year relate to a more prominent theme of accelerated digital transformation and underscore the importance of providing developers with the right tools and resources to create the custom applications that businesses need.

For me, it is the right timing to enter this turbulent industry and help organizations to overcome these unique challenges.
